What is a crown?
A crown is a dental restoration used to restore the strength of a tooth where a filling will no longer correct the damage. The crown is placed over the remnant of the tooth and covers it down to the gumline. Unlike fillings, a crown will provide you with a new chewing surface and will retain the tooth's integrity. There are 3/4 crowns. Crown is a cover to the tooth -total or 3/4 of tooth. We only have to removed damaged tooth structure. Conserve good tooth structure. It will cover all or a portion of the tooth.

What are crowns made of?
Crowns are made of a few different materials. In the past, the most common forms of crowns were made out of metal. These crowns contained metals like gold and silver. Then, in an attempt to provide better aesthetics, crowns were constructed out of porcelain fused to metal crowns. Now, crowns can be made of all porcelain, providing you with a truly exceptional restoration.
