Porcelain Veneers FAQs

How much will my porcelain veneers cost?
The cost of your porcelain veneers will depend on a few factors. First, the more porcelain veneers you receive, the more the procedure will cost. Some people only receive a couple, while others have several teeth covered. Also, if you require teeth whitening prior to porcelain veneer placement, the cost of the overall procedure will increase. You can discuss the cost of your porcelain veneers with Dr. Ragnell at your initial consultation.

Will my teeth look natural with porcelain veneers?
Yes. Porcelain veneers are custom made to match the color, size, shape, and translucency of your natural teeth. Also, veneers are so thin that, after they are bonded to your natural teeth, you’ll be unable to feel the difference.

Who’s a good porcelain veneer candidate?
Porcelain veneers are the perfect solution for almost anyone who wants to correct aesthetic dental problems. To determine if you’re a good candidate for veneers, contact Dr. Ragnell to schedule an initial consultation.

Can porcelain veneers be whitened after they have been placed?
Although porcelain veneers cannot be whitened, you can have your teeth bleached prior to veneer placement. Dr. Ragnell will then match your veneers to your newly whitened smile.

Are porcelain veneers the same as dental bonding?
Although both treatments correct a variety of flaws, dental bonding and porcelain veneers are completely different. Dental bonding is a plastic composite resin applied to a tooth and then hardened. Porcelain veneers are custom-made porcelain shells permanently affixed to teeth.
