Is BriteSmile and ZOOM!™ tooth whitening safe?
Yes, BriteSmile and ZOOM!™ tooth whitening is completely safe. With BriteSmile tooth whitening there is no heat produced, and there is no vibration. During the BriteSmile tooth whitening, you will be provided with protective glasses to ensure the blue light does not affect your eyes. BriteSmile is also less harmful to teeth than many other tooth whitening procedures because it causes little or no tooth sensitivity afterward.

How long does BriteSmile tooth whitening take?
Your BriteSmile tooth whitening procedure will be complete in about an hour. BriteSmile tooth whitening is performed in three 20-minute sessions, where you will sit and relax while the special blue BriteSmile light activates the tooth whitening gel.

How white will my teeth become?
BriteSmile can lighten the shade of your teeth up to 14 times lighter than before the treatment. The best way to determine how much whiter your teeth can become is to schedule an initial consultation with Dr. Avant or Dr. Ragnell. During your initial consultation, Dr. Avant or Dr. Ragnell will evaluate your teeth and their discoloration. Afterward, he will be able to tell you what results you can expect to see.

Can't I whiten my teeth with products from the store?
These days, there are tooth whitening products all over the place, but they will not provide you with nearly the same results as a professional BriteSmile or ZOOM!™ teeth-whitening treatment. Often, over the counter products can produce uneven results, making your smile look unnatural.
